Y2 Solar builds and runs a solar plant on your rooftop or industrial shed. You do nothing, spend nothing, and collect rent every month. The electricity goes to families and businesses nearby who have no roof of their own.
Indicative only. The rate inside the band depends on the shade-free area, roof condition, access for cleaning and the sanctioned load at your premises. We confirm it after a site survey, before you sign anything.
We are taking roofs in the BSES Rajdhani area first. The electricity a plant makes can only be credited to customers of the same electricity company, so a roof is only useful to us where we already have customers waiting. Register a roof in the other two areas and we will come to you when they open.
From the day you register to the day the first rent lands, you are asked for a signature, a roof and nothing else.

We check the shade through the day, whether the roof can carry the weight, how we reach it for cleaning, and the electricity supply. The exact rent is confirmed after this visit.

Credited to your bank account every month by standing instruction, from commissioning.

Rent of ₹15 to ₹18 per square yard of shade-free roof per month in the first year, rising 5% on each anniversary, paid monthly to your bank account from the day the plant is commissioned. Where in the band you fall depends on the site survey.
No. Y2 Solar pays for the structure, the panels, the inverter, the metering, the approvals, the insurance and ten years of maintenance.
No. The plant has its own meter. What it makes is credited to households and businesses elsewhere in the city who bought those panels, not to your connection. Your supply, your load and your bill stay exactly as they are.
The mounting is ballasted or bolted depending on the roof, designed for Delhi wind loads, and we make good any damage our work causes. The plant is insured for its full replacement value.
Yes, for water tanks, access, stairs and anything else already there. We lease only the shade-free area recorded in the lease deed, and we keep a walkway for your access.
The lease runs with the property and binds the buyer. Tell us before the sale and we will hand over the paperwork to the new owner.
We can renew by agreement, or Y2 Solar removes the plant and hands the roof back in the condition it was in, fair wear and tear excepted. Removal is at our cost.
The BSES Rajdhani area of South and West Delhi is open now. Tata Power in the north and BSES Yamuna in the east follow. The reason is simple: the electricity from a plant can only be credited to customers of the same electricity company, so we open an area once we have customers waiting in it.
