Y2 Solar’s journey has been shaped by real customer problems: confusing quotations, unclear subsidy processes, weak structures, poor communication and lack of post-installation ownership.
We saw that every rooftop is different — builder floors, water tanks, compact terraces, shadow issues and roof-right concerns need site-specific planning.
We moved beyond generic solar layouts and focused on system sizing, structure strength, wiring quality, protection and practical rooftop use.
We built calculator-led and proposal-led guidance so customers can understand size, savings, subsidy, EMI, GBI and space requirement before deciding.
We use structured workflows, documentation tracking and customer communication to make the solar journey more reliable from enquiry to support.

Y2 Solar is led by Nitin Kumar, Founder and Managing Director. As an ISB alumnus and a technology-driven entrepreneur, Nitin is building Y2 Solar with a focus on clarity, automation, engineering discipline, customer experience and long-term trust.
His vision is to make rooftop solar easier for customers to understand and adopt — not just through installation, but through better design, transparent pricing, subsidy guidance, structured documentation and stronger after-sales ownership.
