Central household assistance is intended for eligible residential electricity consumers, not routine C&I projects.
The official Delhi Solar Portal publishes the central assistance as ₹30,000 per kW for capacity up to 2kW and ₹18,000 for the additional capacity up to 3kW. The total is capped at ₹78,000 for systems larger than 3kW.
The amended Delhi Solar Energy Policy states a residential capital subsidy of ₹10,000 per kW up to 3kW, with a ₹30,000 ceiling per eligible consumer. This is separate from the central structure, but release and eligibility remain subject to the state portal, DISCOM verification and prevailing operational rules.
These are the currently published central amounts. Final eligibility and released assistance are determined by the official application and verification process.

Y2 Solar process
The exact screens and document names vary by DISCOM, but the safe project sequence remains consistent.
Review the electricity bill, consumer category, sanctioned load, roof rights and likely system size.
Register through the official PM Surya Ghar workflow and select the correct Delhi DISCOM and eligible vendor route.
Complete feasibility and submit the documents requested by BRPL, BYPL, TPDDL or the applicable utility.
Freeze the equipment, DCR/ALMM position, structure, protections, generation estimate and commercial terms in writing.
Install only after the required approvals; retain invoices, product serial numbers, photographs and test documents.
Complete inspection, net-metering and commissioning, then follow the official benefit-disbursement status—not an informal promise.
Under the currently published household structure, the central assistance is capped at ₹78,000 for systems above 3kW. A larger system may still be appropriate for consumption, but it does not increase that central cap.
The amended policy states additional residential support, but an individual payment remains subject to the live state process, eligibility, commissioning and official approval. Confirm the portal status before treating it as receivable.
The household central assistance is for eligible residential consumers. Commercial and industrial systems should be planned on their tariff, daytime consumption, depreciation position and project economics.
The benefit is processed through the government scheme workflow after required verification and commissioning. An installer can support documentation but should not represent the amount as an installer-funded discount.
No installer controls DISCOM feasibility, inspection, portal processing or government disbursement. Y2 Solar can prepare and track documentation, but official authorities control approval timelines.
For a subsidy-led residential project, follow the current official sequence and obtain the required portal/DISCOM position before installing. Installing outside the prescribed workflow can jeopardise eligibility.
