Mrs. Nidhi Suhag's Rani Bagh, Pitampura property operates as a paying guest facility for students. With high electricity bills and an existing tin shed over the top floor, Y2 Solar planned a 10 kW on-grid system using Adani TOPCon bifacial panels and Creditfair financing support.

Project outcome
The 10 kW system was planned to convert high recurring electricity bills into a financed solar asset, with expected generation of around 14,400 units/year and EMI support from projected bill savings plus GBI, subject to approvals and actual usage.
Project record
The property operates as a paying guest facility for students, which means electricity use can stay high across the day and evening. The project goal was to reduce recurring power bills with a 10 kW rooftop solar system sized around the site's consumption and available roof area.
The top floor already had a tin shed, so the solar design needed to account for roof condition, mounting feasibility, anchoring, cable routing and maintenance access. Y2 Solar planned the system so the shed area could become useful solar-generating space.
The system was financed through Y2 Solar's NBFC partner Creditfair. Based on the projected generation, expected GBI and electricity bill savings, the customer expects the EMI burden to be largely offset and the system to become effectively free in less than three years, subject to actual generation, tariff, consumption and financing terms.
Net metering is in process under Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited. The customer is expected to receive Rs 1,08,000 as subsidy and around Rs 2,400 per month as generation-based incentive for five years, subject to eligibility, documentation, policy rules, portal approval and DISCOM processing.
