Mr. Manoj's rooftop in Rohini had useful terrace space, but high-rise buildings on three sides created a real shadow-planning challenge. Y2 Solar used Y2 Solar Studio to model the site in 3D and designed a 3 kW system on a super elevated structure with maintenance walkways.

The system was planned with 3D shadow assessment, a robust super elevated structure and service walkways so the rooftop could handle surrounding high-rise shade risk while remaining maintainable.
Project record
This Rohini rooftop was surrounded by taller buildings on three sides. A basic low-height layout could have looked acceptable on paper while still losing useful generation during important sun hours, especially when the winter sun sits lower.
Y2 Solar modelled the rooftop in 3D using Y2 Solar Studio before finalising the panel placement and structure strategy. The team selected a robust super elevated structure to reduce the most problematic roof-level obstruction impact and to keep practical access around the array.
Walkways were planned with the structure so that cleaning, inspection and routine service can be carried out more safely. This matters on elevated systems because access should be designed at the planning stage, not improvised after installation.
The project is being processed for net metering. The customer is expected to receive Rs 1,08,000 as subsidy and around Rs 1,200 per month as generation-based incentive for three years, subject to eligibility, documentation, policy rules, portal approval and DISCOM processing.
