Metro Greens Mall in Nangloi-Mundka needed rooftop solar as part of its green mall positioning under BSES Rajdhani Power Limited. Although the rooftop had potential for around 400 kW, the customer began with a 50 kW commercial on-grid system planned on an 8-12 ft elevated structure.

The 50 kW pilot plant helped the mall start its green-energy rooftop plan while preserving roof usability and leaving space strategy open for future expansion.

Metro Greens Mall was required to include rooftop solar as part of its green mall positioning. The project needed to satisfy that requirement while also making practical commercial sense for the customer.
The rooftop had potential for around 400 kW of solar, but the client wanted to test the approach first. Y2 Solar planned and installed a 50 kW commercial on-grid plant as the first phase.
The solar array was installed on an 8-12 ft high structure so the rooftop could remain usable below and around the plant. This mattered because a mall rooftop has access, movement and future-use constraints that a low-height layout can ignore.
The layout was planned with space optimization in mind so the plant could be expanded later. Structure placement, open zones, access paths and electrical routing were considered against the larger 400 kW rooftop potential.
